The method I use to scan this white banknote greatly enhances the watermark.

However, it also accentuates any creases and marks that might have been.

The note appears better than it looks from the scan

Date:  1921 April 5

Branch:  Manchester

Value:  £5.00

No.  U14 05399

Signed:  E. M. Harvey

Obv. Light grease marks at top centre, centre & bottom centre.

        Ex folded in 4, in cross style: 12 to 6 o'clock & 9 to 3 o'clock. - Now flat.

A tiny 4 mm split - top left edge - 54 mm from left edge. A few pin-holes.

Rev. Cleanish back except for the grease marks - no graffiti.  Note is probably pressed

Grade:  F+/VF? The scan of the note makes it look far worse than it.
