Date:  1950 October 12

Value:  £5.00

No. S81 004601

Signed: P. S. Beale

Obv. A fairly good looking clean fronted note when laying flat. However, on closer

examination and when held up one can see there are creases from 12 to 6 & 9 to 3.

The creases from 9 to 3 the most obvious. Slight greyish marks at top right edge &

lower left edge possibly from where it has been handled in the past.

A couple of corner creases and slightly wrinkled edge.

Rev. Again looking clean when laying flat but with TWO bank stamps.

One hand-stamp in purple, towards the top right corner. (Lloyds Bank Limited -

         1-May 29 1953  HAMMERSMITH  W. 6)

Second hand-stamp in red, just left of centre and central. (HARRODS  LTD

Estate Agents and Auctioneers  KNIGHTSBRIDGE  LONDON  S. W. 1.)

The creases 12 to 6 & 9 to 3 more prominent when held up for examination

Otherwise reasonably clean.  A couple of corner creases and slightly wrinkled edge.

Grade: VF+ but looks a lot better when laying flat !
