QF 1852 A - Obv.   QF 1852 A - Metal flaw   QF 1852 A - Rev.

1852 Quarter Farthing - Obv. Choice dark chocolate brown colour. There is a very tiny metal flaw (indent) or

metal theft just before Victoria's nose. There is also a micro-fine die crack from edge

just above the G of D: G: that runs through the colon dots of D: into the metal flaw.

The micro-fine crack is so fine that I only got to see it when I scanned the coin and

tilted the coin at a contain angle as I could not see it with the naked eye.

Also the metal flaw I feel does not detracted from what is a choice coin.

Rev. Choice is a hint of lustre.

Quarter farthings in just about any grade are scarce - as they were so small they got easily lost

and due to their very low value if dropped they might not have been picked up. Their general use

was in Ceylon but due to Victoria's head and denomination are list as part of the British series.
