1869 Florin (MDCCClXIX) Die number 6
This has been a very difficult coin to scan as the coin has a nice darkish tone on the obverse and a deeper gun-metal grey/green on the reverse.
I was certain that the die number was 8 until a high resolution scan showed that in fact it was a 6 with the top looping around and ending up virtually in contact with bottom bulge.
Condition VF+-EF?.
* In the London Coin Auction - 6 December 2010 - lot 1233 an example in EF/EF+ fetched £600 + £102 (buyer premium) + £17.85 (vat) = £719.85
