We have on offer a very unusual 1851 Groat that has been enamelled in royal blue and gold.
The Groat has been mounted into a brass fitting and I believed used as a lapel badge.
It has an amazing mechanism where the back stud can be removed.
1851 Groats are very scarce due to their very low mintage.
This is the first time I have ever seem an enamelled Groat of this date.
So something unusual to own !
