ST 1868 B - R over B ? in BRITANNIAR - Reads RRITANNIAR - I am not sure if the 1st (Error) R
is over a B as there appears to be little trace of the B underneath. However, it would
appear extremely unlikely that there is was a single die produced with the error spelling
with RRITANNIAR ! I am only aware of three specimens known and they are both in
Fine or slightly better grades. It would be interesting to examine a better grade coin
with this variety. This variety is considered Extremely RARE.
