1887 Sixpence (G) - Jubilee head type - withdrawn shield reverse. R over I in VICTORIA The leg of R is over an I (The I is very slightly tilted to the right) - note that the left leg of the I (to the right of the R) is broken - the possible reason for the repair. The top of the R is just a very faint line.
1887 Sixpence (H) - Jubilee head type - withdrawn shield reverse. R over I in BRITT The leg of R is over an I - note that the left leg of the I and the bottom right leg of the R are broken. This could have been a simple error of repairing the wrong letter or as only the leg of the R need repair the repairer decided to use the I for repair. Note that no other part of the R is double as it would be if it were an R over R repair - as other parts of the R would show.
