I hate slabbed coins. One of the many reasons is that it is impossible to get a clear focused picture - using a scanner, as the coin is raised away from the outer plastic surround. This 1839 sixpence was slabbed by NGC and graded as AU58. Date: All of the numerals are double struck. Grade: Obv. The coin does appear to have slight wear on the high points under a steel blue toning Probably I would grade as EF. Rev. The toning is slightly less blued. Probably also EF or slightly better.
