	Some collectors have started collecting or recording variations in date widths. I do not consider the great majority of these variations as being of significant importance or rarity above the norm. Some, like the 1889 narrow date, do eventually achieve a rarity status and command a premium over the norm. Only time will tell which of the others do ! I shall list and scan some of the variations that pass through my hands.

	1874 - 3 Obverse & 3 Reverse types

	Obv. L As Obv. K - but tie ribbons now very close together
	For this date ONLY - to avoid confusion all date widths that are the same (ie. 10 teeth width will have an extra ref. letter 'a' added after the normal reference code) Ranging from 'a' to 'g' depending on width - as there are so many combinations !
